Sizzling Singles Scholarship Drive

Utah State University’s Bookstore celebrates Valentine’s week, and beyond, with the Sizzling Single Scholarship Drive.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 9, eight eligible bachelors and bachelorettes, who are also USU students, will try to become the most eligible single on campus. Each of the eight represents a scholarship fund from a college or department.

Students, faculty and staff can donate to a scholarship fund by donating to their favorite single. Donations will be accepted at a table located on the Technology and Textbooks side of the Bookstore.

Voting will continue until Friday, Feb. 20.

The volunteers and scholarship funds for this charitable event are:

Coy Whittier, Agriculture Deans Leadership Scholarship
Jon Parrish, Thomas Berghoff Mechanical Engineering Scholarship
Lee Cannon, Student's Scholarship for the College of HASS
Steve Russell, Huntsman School of Business Scholarship
Alexa Cordner, Women's Center Scholarship
Amy Jensen, Beryl & Tura Springer Scholarship in Geology
Crystal Degen, Jessica Clark Tayon Memorial Scholarship in Natural Resources
Hali Hesley, Education College Scholarship for Diversity

A short video presentation highlighting the eight singles will be playing on the main floor of the Taggart Student Center. Along with this media introduction, the north display window of the USU Bookstore hosts larger-than-life images of each single.

All funds raised by the USU Bookstore through this holiday fundraiser will be donated directly to the above listed scholarship programs.
