No Wrongdoing Found in Alleged Kidnapping Attempt

Utah State University police identified the individual in connection with a report of an alleged Kidnapping attempt on Oct. 4 in the USU trailer court.  No wrongdoing was found in connection with the incident, said USU Chief of Police Steve Mecham.

The subject was an elderly gentleman in the trailer park who was visiting relatives. He was out for a walk at the same time the alleged victim was outside playing. He told police that although he saw the young girl, he never spoke with her or had physical contact. His statement was confirmed by others in the trailer court. Mecham said they consider the case now closed.
