Lowered Flags Honor Utah Soldier
Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, Jr., has authorized the lowering of the national and state flags Saturday, May 10. Flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilties from sunrise to sunset in honor of Maj. Brad Funk.
Maj. Funk died May 1 when his T-38 jet crashed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. at the Roy North Park Ward chapel, 4250 S. 2175 West, Roy, Utah. Interment will follow in Warren, Utah’s, cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
