Flags to Fly at Half Staff

In accordance with federal law, Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert has ordered the flag of the United States of America and the flag of the state of Utah to be lowered in commemoration of Memorial Day.

The flags will be flown at half-staff at all state facilities, including Utah State University, Monday, May 30, from sunrise to noon. At noon, the flags are raised to full-staff.

In a statement released by the governor’s office, the governor “deeply honors those who have lost their lives through brave and dedicated service for our country.”
