Faculty Development and Diversity Workshop
The Faculty Development and Diversity Workshop series, sponsored by Utah State University’s Provost’s Office, continues Wednesday, March 25, with a presentation hosted by Todd Campbell and Kimberly Lott, USU faculty.
The presentation begins at 3 p.m. in the Center Colony room in the Taggart Student Center and features students discussing ideas and experiences with teaching and learning. Ann Austin, vice provost for faculty development and diversity, encourages all faculty members to take this unique opportunity to reflect on the multiple intersections of student feedback, personal practice and the demands of individual disciplines.
“We are always wondering how our curriculum planning really comes across to students,” Austin said. “At this workshop we will hear from the students themselves and find out if they actually got the message.”
All faculty members are invited to learn about the teacher who has most influenced the participating students and why, what they feel has enabled them to learn most deeply, and what hinders them from learning in the classroom. Light refreshments will be provided.
More information on this workshop is available on the Provost’s Web site.
