Changes Made at USU's Visitors Information Center

Utah State University’s Visitors Information Center —known in the USU Parking Services office as VIC —is now a one-stop, customer friendly location for guest reception services on campus, said Lisa Leishman, director of parking and transportation services.

Departments on campus can now pay in advance for visitor parking, be alerted when guests arrive and allow the VIC to give specific directions to guests.

The VIC at USU has moved to the west side of the Aggie Terrace at approximately 600 North and 700 East. The new location makes the VIC a drive-through facility.

“We want to have a central location where a guest can come and take care of everything in one spot,” Leishman said. “If a department has requested notification, we’ll notify their party of their arrival and then show them their destination with complete campus directions.”

The services are now in operation.

“We want people to know what is being offered, so they can use this service,” Leishman said.

The new VIC is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays. Advance arrangements can be made by calling the VIC at 797-6869.

The VIC has been in service for more than 15 years on USU’s campus, but has never before offered this level of services, Leishman said.
