Attempted Kidnapping Reported

The Utah State University Police Department released the following information.
 
On Oct. 4, 2009 at around 4:15 p.m., USU Police received a report of an attempted kidnapping at the USU Trailer Court. 
 
A 4-year-old child had been playing outside. When the parents checked on her, they could not immediately find her. As they called for her, a male subject stepped out from behind the trailer and left the area. The parents found the child in the same location. The child indicated that the man wanted her to go with him.
 
The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 55 and 60, around 5'11", thin build with light-colored hair that is longer and thinning. He was wearing jeans, a large silver belt buckle with the letter D on it, a dark shirt and a light jacket.
