Keep your cell phone charged up and be prepared for car trouble, especially during winter weather when you could be stranded for an extended period of time. Utah State University Extension Agent Pauline Williams recommends packing bottled water, non-perishable food, a blanket, a flashlight, jumper cables and a first aid kit, along with warm clothing and shoes.
