Women's Center Offers Study Strategies Workshop
The Women’s Center for Life Long Learning and the Reentry Student Center at Utah State University host the workshop “Study Strategies for Academic Success” Wednesday, Sept. 26. The workshop is open to all USU students and runs from noon to 1 p.m. in the West Colony Room of the Taggart Student Center. Registration is not required.
Attendees are invited to bring a brown bag lunch to the session. The Women’s Center will provide drinks and dessert.
The workshop is taught by Debi Jensen, a learning specialist in USU’s Academic Resource Center and adjunct instructor in the psychology department. Workshop organizers feel there is a core set of study strategies that can help students succeed in college.
“The task is to learn how to work ‘smarter’ not ‘harder,’” organizers said.
Learn proven study techniques that will produce the highest return on the study-time investment. A set of templates and resources outlining the top study strategies will be provided.
