Wickiup-Wise

Remains of wickiups, temporary hut-like dwellings of native tribes of the American Southwest, can be difficult to locate. USU anthropologists, who have discovered a number of the elusive sites, are developing methods to improve detection of the lightly-built homes, which were constructed throughout arid regions of the western United States and Mexico.
