What's In Your Water?

USU researcher Wayne Wurtsbaugh is studying the impact of nitrogen and phosphorus discharged from wastewater treatment plants and other man-made sources into the Great Salt Lake. The chemicals promote excessive algae growth in the lake, one of North America’s top flyways. The algae may impact the food supply for birds and other wildlife.
