Water and Power - Construction and Outages Scheduled
Water and electrical issues will affect campus near the Industrial Science building and the Technology building this summer. The water project will be ongoing throughout the summer.
Beginning May 8 and continuing through the end of October, a new water well will be drilled on the south side of the Industrial Science building. The activity will be noisy and messy and may disrupt work and classes in surrounding buildings.
Buildings most likely to be affected are Communicative Disorders, Technology, the Manon Caine Russell Kathryn Caine Wanlass Performance Hall, the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art and nearby student housing.
To facilitate the work, a fence has been installed across the road on the south side of the Industrial Science building. Traffic through the gate will not be allowed due to safety issues.
