Virtual Math Tutor

Everyday objects, such as bottle caps, pennies and toothpicks, can be used to teach children core math concepts. Called “manipulatives” by educators, these objects are used as models to illustrate abstract ideas. Utah State University researchers have developed Web-based, virtual manipulatives to provide students, parents and teachers with free access to learning tools and accompanying activities. For more information, see the Web site.
