Utah State University Women's Center to Host Plant a Pink Tulip Project

The Utah State University Women’s Center will host the Plant a Pink Tulip Project, a tribute to those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.

The tribute will be held Saturday, Oct. 21, at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 725 South 250 East, Hyde Park.  Participants will have the chance to plant pink tulip bulbs after a brief program.

 

“This is a great way to remember and pay tribute to those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer,” said Patricia Stevens, director of the Utah State University Women’s Center. “We hope that many will come and participate in this important event.”

 

Light refreshments and music will be provided, and participants should wear appropriate clothing and bring their own tools for planting.

 

The project is supported by Wuthrich Greenhouse, Logan River Women’s Golf Association, Utah State Women’s Volleyball Team, Alpha Chi Sorority, the Utah State University Women’s Center and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. The activity is free and open to the public.
