Utah State University Symphony Orchestra Presents Fall Concert
The Utah State University Symphony Orchestra presents Chamber Orchestra Delights at the USU Performance Hall Friday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m.
“The audience will be able to enjoy the rich orchestral colors played in the intimacy of our wonderful performance hall,” said Sergio Bernal, director of the USU Symphony Orchestra.
The concert will feature Elgar’s Chanson de Nuit and Chanson de Matin, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 and Schubert’s Symphony No. 5.
“Elgar’s music is always very noble and nostalgic,” said Bernal. “His songs are two miniatures originally written for violin and piano but later transcribed for chamber orchestra. “Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto is among the all-time favorite works of the Baroque era and Schubert’s Fifth Symphony is a charming piece with beautiful melodies and spontaneous gestures.”
Concert tickets are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and youth, $5 for faculty and staff and free for USU students with ID. Tickets can be purchased at the CCA Box Office located in room 139-B of the Chase Fine Arts Center, online at arts.usu.edu or by calling 435-797-8022.

"Chamber Orchestra Delights," is Friday, Oct. 28, at the USU Performance Hall. Concert time is 7:30 p.m. and features the students from USU's Symphony Orchestra based in the Department of Music.
