Utah State University received the CampusESP Q1 ESP MVP Award for its work using CampusESP to inform parents of prospective students how to prepare their student to enroll at USU. USU’s focus on the influence family has on students and working with families as well as prospective students has yielded positive results.
“Knowing how important parents are in their student’s college decision-making process, we wanted a way to communicate relevant information to all parents that are both timely and unique to their needs,” said Ryan Jensen, assistant director of communications for Admissions.
USU joined CampusESP in March 2020 and has used CampusESP to engage more than 27,000 prospective families and 7,500 current families, with a special focus on the predominantly Native American population at the USU Blanding campus. The university saw immediate results, seeing its fall 2020 class become the largest incoming class in school history.
USU uses the platform to centralize communication for the full parent lifecycle– from enrollment to student success and beyond. USU uses CampusESP to send information to families about application deadlines, scholarship opportunities, orientation registration, virtual programming and more, all housed in USU’s Parent & Family Network. USU customizes all communications for families, based on the student’s stage in the enrollment process and what information users request to be sent. USU also sends targeted messages to special groups, including parents of out-of-stage students, Latinx families, first-generation families and more.
Online profiles on USU’s Parent & Family Network are free and parents and guardians can stay up to date on all pertinent deadlines and all other things that apply to their student. For more information and to sign up, visit usu.campusesp.com.
