KICKOFF COVERAGE
- Utah State will play its first road game of the 2016 season at USC Saturday, Sept. 10, at noon (MT), in a game that will be nationally televised on the Pac-12 Network.
- Utah State is 1-0 to start a season for the second-straight year and third time in the last five seasons, but for just the seventh time dating back to 1979, a span of 37 years. Overall, USU has won its season-opener 62 times in school history. The last time USU started the season 2-0 was in 2012 when it posted back-to-back home wins against Southern Utah (34-3) and Utah (27-20 OT). The Aggies have started a season 2-0 just 37 times in school history.
- Utah State is 40-124-5 (.251) all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference. USU's last win against a Pac-12 team was a 27-20 home win in overtime against Utah in 2012.
- Utah State is 8-12 on the road under head coach Matt Wells and USU has won 15 of its last 29 road games dating back to the 2012 season.
- Utah State has won 10 of its last 15 games played during the month of September, including three of its last eight on the road. USU is 2-4 all-time in games played on Sept. 10.
- Utah State has won 18 of its last 19 games when it has a 100-yard rusher and 20 of its last 21 contests when rushing at least 40 times in a game.
- Utah State has 37 players on its roster from the state of Utah, while USC has 72 players on its roster from the state of California.
- Utah State has three players on its roster who played against USC in 2013 in senior DE Ricky Ali'ifua, senior FS Devin Centers and senior K Jake Thompson. Thompson is the only Aggie who recorded stats in that game as he kicked off three times (61.7 ypk) with one touchback.
