Utah State Presents 13th Annual Diversity Awards
Five Cache Valley residents will be honored by Utah State University Friday, Nov. 17, when they receive they annual Presidents Diversity Award.
Juan N. Franco, Maria de Jesus Cordero, LuAnn Helms, Melissa Nuntapreda and Bartell W. Cardon are the 2006 recipients of the honor, which recognizes individuals on campus and in the Cache Valley community who have made significant contributions to affirmative action, equal opportunity and diversity.
The awards will be presented during ASUSU’s Diversity Week activities. Friday’s activities start in the Taggart Student Center’s Sunburst Lounge, with the Diversity Carnival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the Cultural Showcase from 3 p.m. 4:15 p.m.
The Diversity awards with be presented by President Stan L. Albrecht from 4:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., after which Mr. & Ms. International pageant will commence in the TSC Stevenson Ballroom from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. To wrap up the night, a dance will be held in the ballroom from 9 p.m. to midnight.
