Utah State men’s basketball will begin its 111th season in 2015-16 and open on the road at Weber State Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. USU is 1,536-1,059 (.592) in 2,595 games played over that span.

Utah State is 81-29 all-time in season openers and has won 20 of its last 21. The Aggies have won 11 of their last 15 season openers when opening on the road.

Utah State is 41-26 all-time against Weber State, the ninth-longest series in USU history, and has won 15 of the last 17 games played in the series. USU has faced the Wildcats in a season-opening game six times, defeating WSU each time, including a 72-61 victory in Logan last season. The Aggies have faced Weber State seven times in road openers, posting a 4-3 record.

Utah State has won 37 of its last 48 overall games (.771) against in-state opponents.

Utah State will enter its third season in the Mountain West, compiling an 11-7 conference mark last season in the Aggies’ sophomore campaign. The 11 wins were the most ever for a second-year school in the Mountain West.

Utah State ended the 2014-15 season in the top-20 nationally in five statistics: eighth in both defensive 3-point field goal percentage (.297) and fewest turnovers (323), 14th in 3-point field goal percentage (.394), 17th in assist/turnover ratio (1.38) and 18th in turnovers per game (10.4).

Utah State returns all five starters from a team that finished 18-13 overall and 11-7 in the Mountain West last season. Among the returners are all three of the Aggies’ postseason honorees, including junior wing Jalen Moore (second team all-MW) and senior guard Chris Smith (honorable mention all-MW).

Utah State is one of only two teams in the Mountain West (Nevada) that returns all five starters from the 2014-15 season.
