Members of Utah State University’s International Student Council (ISC) invite the campus community to join them for weekly socials each Friday at 4 p.m. in the third floor lounge of the university’s Taggart Student Center.
The ISC, which represents 1,200 international students enrolled at Utah State, recently elected officers for the 2004-05 academic year. Officers are Youssef Filali, president; Anuradha Narayanan, executive vice president; Asiful Ghani, public relations vice president; Shehan Desilva, financial vice president; Abinash Bhattachan, student life vice president; Omer Khan, sports and recreation vice president; and Syed Sayem, cultural vice president.
The council looks forward to hosting International Education Week Nov. 15-19, which features speakers, cultural displays and international films.
“This year’s ISC officers represent almost every continent,” said Maribeth Evensen-Hengge, ISC faculty advisor. “We have exciting activities planned for the entire year, starting with our international week in November.”
