Utah State [University] head football coach Matt Wells will begin his weekly radio show Tuesday, Aug. 30.
Murdock Hyundai of Logan, located at 3131 N. Main Street, will host this year’s show each week.
Two football student-athletes will join Wells each week on his show, which airs from 7:05-8 p.m. on 610 AM KVNU and 610kvnu.com, as well as streamed at UtahStateAggies.com. The show gives USU fans an opportunity to ask questions and interact with the coach and players.
Wells’ radio show will also be carried throughout the state of Utah on the Aggie Sports Network in Logan and Tremonton on KLZX 95.9 FM, in Salt Lake City on KZNS 1280 AM, in Vernal on KVEL 920 AM, in Price on KRPX 95.3 FM and in Montpelier, Idaho, on KLZX 105.3 FM.
Host Al Lewis will recap the last game, preview the upcoming game and take questions from the audience and listeners.
Utah State opens the 2016 season by hosting Weber State at newly renovated Maverik Stadium on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. Fans are asked to #StripeTheMav for the game against the Wildcats with those sitting in even sections wearing white and odd sections wearing blue. The first 12,000 fans will receive a jersey rally towel compliments of Maverik, Pepsi, Zions Bank and USU Athletics.
Prior to Utah State and Weber State kicking off, the Maceys Fan Fest will take place from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on 800 East just west of Maverik Stadium. A DJ will be on hand to provide live music.
Utah State begins Mountain West play by hosting Air Force in its annual Homecoming game on Saturday, Sept. 24.
