Utah State Blue Light Honors Robins Awards Recipients

Utah State University illuminated Old Main's "A" in blue lights Saturday, April 16, to honor all award recipients from the 48th annual Robins Awards.

 

The Robins Awards are named in memory of visionary Utah State student body President William E. Robins. Robins, who held office in 1949, died along with his wife in a 1954 plane crash.

 

The featured award of the evening, the Bill Robins Memorial Award, went to Jay Price. The award is presented to the student who excels academically, displays outstanding leadership ability and shows dedication to Utah State.

 

Other awards and recipients included: The Val R. Christensen Service Award, Val R. Christensen Service Center; Achievement of the Year Award, Up-To-3 Early Intervention Program; Organization of the Year, Student Activities Board; Talent of the Year, Adam Nielsen; Female Athlete of the Year, Melissa Baggaley; Male Athlete of the Year, Spencer Nelson; Graduate Research Assistant Award, Anastassia Alexandrova; Graduate Teaching Assistant Award, Janeen Ardito and Megan Inclan; Professional Advisor of the Year, Sally Peterson; Faculty Advisor of the Year, Doran J. Baker; Professor of the Year, Janet Anderson; Scholar of the Year, Ashley Ellsworth; Gerald R. Sherratt Award, Bob Bayn; Man of the Year, Tyler Buswell; Woman of the Year, JaNae Burger.
