Utah State [University] men’s and women’s basketball will provide a sneak peek of the season to come when the teams host Primetime Madness Friday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The night will feature scrimmages by both teams with a halftime skills competition, pairing players from both teams for various drills.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be sponsored by Maceys. Spectrum doors are set to open at 6 p.m., with activities and free giveaways on the concourse.
The USU Spirit Squad will open the night with a performance, followed by the introductions of both basketball teams.
Following team intros, both teams will play a 20-minute scrimmage with a running clock, played in two halves. In between the halves, both teams will have a 3-point shooting contest, featuring two players from each program. Action will then continue with the second half of each team's scrimmage. The contests will conclude with the HURD Shooting Stars contest. Four teams will be comprised of a men's player, a women's player and a member of the HURD, Utah State's student section.
