Utah State Alumni Association to Honor Six of its Own

The Hall of Honor for Utah State University's Alumni Association expands by five with the addition of the following long-time, loyal contributors during a Homecoming Week ceremony, Thursday evening, Oct. 9:

Mark Dennis '79, a Roosevelt, Utah, veterinarian, who has provided leadership and continual service to the Alumni Association’s Uintah Basin Chapter.

Carl Lundahl '67, Alumni Association president and Utah State trustee from 1990-2001, and his wife, Mary Sue '64, a 30year kindergarten teacher and finalist for Cache County Teacher of the Year. Lundahl is a retired Thiokol chemist.

Barry Moore '65, recently retired insurance agency president who helped develop the San Diego Chapter into the dynamic organization it is today.

Cathy Van Skyhawk '63, 1994 Alumni Association president and trustee who has been a prominent and dedicated force in the development of the association's Salt Lake Chapter. Skyhawk is a retired financial planner who took up the triathlon at age 50 and won a bronze medal in the Huntsman World Games Triathlon.

Leading the Homecoming Parade, Saturday, Oct.11, 10 a.m., atop the back seat of a convertible will be grand marshal Jennie Christensen '70Att. The Cache Valley radio personality and recipient of a 2003 Utah Women of Achievement Award from the Governor's Office began her journalism career in 1960 at The Herald Journal. Christensen is perhaps best known as the KVNU talk show host who keeps the valley informed of all the important happenings. Husband Ross is a 1971 graduate in sociology. He'll join Christensen for the convertible ride down Logan's Main Street.
