USU Women's Center Leads 'Plant a Pink Tulip’ Oct. 13
In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Women’s Center at Utah State University conducts its annual Plant a Pink Tulip Day Saturday, Oct. 13.
Free and open to all, the activity takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at the new Logan Regional Cancer Center located at 600 E. 1400 North.
“We invite anyone interested to come and share in the experience of planting a tulip in memory of a loved one or in honor of those who are fighting and surviving,” said Sally Russell, chair of the Women’s Center’s advisory board.
Participants should wear appropriate clothing and bring their own tools for planting. Tulip bulbs are provided by Wuthrich Greenhouse of Logan.
Assisting with this year’s project are graduate student members of USU’s chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
