TIP-OFF — Utah State women’s basketball (0-0) will play its second and final exhibition game of the 2015-16 season Saturday, Nov. 7, against Dixie State at 2 p.m.

FOLLOWING THE AGGIES — All regular-season home and Mountain West action will continue to be broadcast through the Aggie Digital Network and the Mountain West Network this season, powered by Campus Insiders. All USU games will also be broadcast on the radio on 107.7 KLZX in Cache Valley, as well as an online stream, with Craig Hislop on the call. AGGIES IN EXHIBITION — Saturday is the last of two exhibition games for the Aggies this season. All-time, Utah State is 9-2 in exhibition action. The Aggies have not lost an exhibition game since the 2005-06 season when they fell to the Utah Pride, 66-65, and Northwest Sports, 76-65. Utah State is 4-0 in exhibition play under fourth-year head coach Jerry Finkbeiner.

SCOUTING THE RED STORM — The Aggies play their first in-state match-up of the year this weekend against Dixie State. The Division II school is located in St. George, Utah, and plays in the Pacific West Conference. Saturday’s exhibition will be the first of the year for the Red Storm.

Last season, Dixie State finished the year with an 8-18 record, going 7-13 in PacWest action. The team’s sole non-conference win came over Cal State San Marcos. As a team, Dixie State averaged 68.1 points and 44.5 rebounds per game last season. The Red Storm shot 38.7 percent from the field (666-of-1719), 26.5 percent (130-of-490) from three and 65.5 percent (308-of-470) from the free throw line. Head coach Jenny Thigpin took over the program in an interim role last November, becoming the official head coach in January. Senior center Taylor Mann is the top returner for the Red Storm this season, as she averaged 11.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per game last year. Dixie State returns two starters and nine letterwinners from last year’s squad.

Utah State and Dixie State have played in exhibition games before, but have met just once in the regular season. The Red Storm came to Logan to open the 2010-11 season, topping the Aggies, 71-67.
