USU Professors Receive Grant for Online Engineering Education

Ning Fang, professor of engineering, and David Hailey, professor of English at Utah State University, received a Community/University Research Initiative Grant to create computer simulations of physics concepts for online engineering education.

“It’s very difficult to conduct engineering education online,” said Fang. “The simulations will make it easier for students to learn engineering concepts online by seeing them illustrated on the computer.”

Students from the English department will produce the computer simulations for students from the College of Engineering to test.
