USU Open House Welcomes Women's Center Director Patricia Stevens
The Women’s Center and Reentry Student Center at Utah State University hosts a reception to welcome its new director Patricia Stevens. Members of the campus and Cache Valley communities are invited to meet Stevens at the reception Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center room 315.
Stevens recently arrived on campus following a national search. She replaces Janet Osborne, who retired in June.
“Dr. Stevens is a great addition to the community,” said Mary Doty, director of USU’s Counseling Center and search committee chair. “She offers an impressive level of experience and expertise, both in women’s issues and administration, which the search committee believes will serve the Women’s and Reentry Student Center and the USU community very well. We are truly pleased to welcome her.”
Stevens comes to USU from Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky., with previous tenures at Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Colorado at Denver. She earned her doctorate in counselor education at Mississippi State University.
