USU's Jana Doggett Named 'Top 10 Senior Woman's Athletics Administrator'

Utah State University’s Executive Associate Athletics Director for External Operations and Senior Woman’s Administrator (SWA) Jana Doggett has been named one of the top 10 SWA’s in the nation at the Division I level by College AD, an online source for news and resources for college athletic departments. The announcement was made Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015.

Doggett is in her ninth year with the Utah State Athletics Department and fourth as executive associate athletics director after spending her first five years as the senior associate athletics director for external operations.

“Jana’s role within Utah State Athletics is vital to the day-to-day successes we see both on and off the fields of competition,” said USU Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Barnes. “Jana has a unique skill-set that helps her relate to both our coaches and administrators and our student-athletes. She is an invaluable member of our department and we are fortunate she is on our team.”

Doggett is the athletics departments’ second-in-command and oversees the department’s external operations, which includes event management, media relations, new media, Aggie Sports Properties, licensing and Sodexo concession sales. She also supervises the sports of football, golf, softball, soccer and volleyball,and the men and women’s track/cross country programs.

Doggett has also been the athletics department lead liaison with the construction of the Wayne Estes Center, USU’s Olympic Sports Complex and the upcoming renovations to the west side of Romney Stadium.

As Utah State’s senior woman’s administrator, her role is to enhance representation of female experience and perspective at the institutional, conference and national levels and support women’s interests.

Joining Doggett on College AD’s top 10 list of SWA’s is Ceal Barry (Colorado), Terri Howes (West Virginia), Pat Logsdon (Nebraska), Beth Miller (North Carolina), Jody Mooradian (Boston College), Jessica Reo (Central Florida), Janice Ruggiero (New Mexico), Marianne Vydra (Oregon State) and Carla Williams (Georgia).
