USU Holds Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Vigil

Utah State University will mark the Martin Luther King holiday observance with a candlelight vigil. The annual event is organized by USU’s Access and Diversity Center.

USU’s vigil is Tuesday, Jan. 20, and begins at 6 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center Stevenson Ballroom.

The evening’s activities include an appearance by San Diego, Calif., resident Rudy Francisco, individual World Poetry Slam Champion. Additional guest performances by student vocalists Jeunee Roberts and Shalayna Guisao are also planned.

USU’s Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Vigil is free and open to everyone. Light refreshments will be served.
