USU Gymnastics Hosting Meet the Aggies Event

Utah State [University] gymnastics will host its second annual Meet the Aggies event Saturday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. The event will be held in the new Wayne Estes Center and is free and open to the public.

Meet the Aggies is an event held by Utah State gymnastics to allow students and the community to get their first look at the 2015 team. Fans can participate in learning team cheers, a question-and-answer session with each of the classes and will be able to watch some of the team’s floor routines for the upcoming season.

“I’m really looking forward to the campus and community to come out to our second annual Meet the Aggies event,” said second year head coach Nadalie Walsh. “Our competitive season is right around the corner and the more the fans can learn about the team and the sport, the better. We want to make sure the fans are ready to be excited, loud and rowdy at our meets this season.”

Doors will open at 3:45 p.m. with the event beginning at 4 p.m. Activities at the event include games and prizes, raffles and signed posters by the Aggie gymnasts.

The Utah State gymnastics team opens its season with its Blue and White intrasquad meet Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. in the Spectrum, before beginning official competition at home against Air Force Friday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m.
