USU Extension Sponsors Baby Animal Adventures in South Jordan

Baby Animal Adventures is coming to the USU Bastian Agricultural Center in South Jordan on April 25-26.

Featured animals at the event sponsored by Utah State University Extension will include sheep, goats, pigs, alpacas, ducks, chicks, rabbits, calves and more.

In addition to baby animals will be variety of outdoor activities, including bounce houses, a tractor cart pull, face painting, a corn pit, burlap sack races, yard games and food trucks. There will also be a 4-H educational booth there for youth.

Danika Johnson, Bastian Agricultural Center event manager, said with the animals, tasty food and fun activities for all ages, it’s the perfect way for families to spend a day together.

“Those who visit will have a chance to pet, feed and even hold some of the animals,” she said. “Our staff will be on hand to ensure that it is a fun, engaging and educational experience for all. We can’t wait to share the magic with our community,”

Josh Dallin, Bastian Agricultural Center executive director, said Baby Animal Adventures is a unique opportunity for families to experience agriculture up close.

“This event helps us fulfill our center’s mission by providing hands-on, experiential learning that brings agricultural education to life in a fun and memorable way,” he said.

Baby Animal Adventures will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days at the Bastian Agricultural Center, 2100 W. 11400 South, South Jordan. Tickets are $14 for those 17 and over; $7 for youth ages 3-16, and free for children 0-2 years old. To reserve tickets, visit the Bastian Agricultural Center website.
