USU Extension Launches Redesigned Website

Utah State University Extension recently launched its redesigned website, Extension.usu.edu. The site is now more responsive to most mobile devices and will be easier to use on the go.

According to Kirk Salisbury, USU Extension webmaster, the website has also been widened, brightened and simplified to give users a more intuitive experience.

“This is the first phase of a complete website overhaul for USU Extension, which currently hosts 132 sites, including all USU Extension county offices, dozens of program areas, USU botanical gardens around the state, the Swaner EcoCenter and all Utah 4-H programs,” he said.

Salisbury said the calendar has been reworked so users can more easily find USU Extension events held around the state, and the site has been simplified by having four categories where information can be found. Those include Utah 4-H and youth; home, family and food; agriculture and natural resources; and gardening.

“We ultimately hope this redesign will help consumers utilize USU Extension as a powerful resource available right at their fingertips, whether on a PC or a mobile device,” he said. “We want users to come back time and time again to see the regularly updated, non-biased, research-based information USU Extension provides to help Utahns improve their lives.”

Information from the Extension website can also be found on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram.
