USU English Department Announces Annual Poe in the Dark Event

The members of Sigma Tau Delta, English Honor Society, invite everyone — campus and local community alike — to what is billed as a spine-tingling literary event, this year's Poe in the Dark.

 

"This long-standing tradition portends a fun but spooky outing sure to conjure up the proper Halloween mood," said Sigma Tau Delta president Cami Cook.

 

Sharing eerie and blood chilling readings will be professors Mark Damen, Ron Shook, Jennifer Sinor and others.

 

The popular event is free to the public, but a donation of a can of food for the Cache Food Bank is suggested. "Poe in the Dark" starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Eccles Science and Learning Center, room 130, Thursday, Oct. 27.

 

Cook promises door prizes, free doughnuts and cider and thrilling tales that will send a shiver up the spine.
