USU Center Hosts Nikon Small World Photo Exhibit

The Center for Integrated BioSystems at Utah State University is hosting Utah’s only showing of Nikon’s Small World Photo Exhibit, which showcases award-winning scientific images taken through a microscope.

This exhibit is regarded as the leading forum for showcasing the beauty and complexity of life as seen through the light microscope. The show runs through Aug. 15 in the Biotechnology Building on campus. The public is invited.

 

The 2007 winning images were selected from more than 1,700 photomicrograph entries from scientists and artists from around the globe and judged by a panel of experts. The winning photos masterfully display the photographer as both artist and scientist.

 

“Nikon Small World provides the opportunity for the general public to experience the beauty that can be generated through scientific research,” said Lee Shuett, executive vice president of Nikon Instruments. “As digital imaging capabilities continue to advance, our ability to capture and share the tiniest of objects continues to grow.”
