USU Alumni and Friends Invited to 2nd Annual Swaner Snowcase, March 4

The Utah State University Alumni Association invites alumni and their families to a special Aggie Day at the Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive in Park City, for the second annual Swaner Snowcase event.

This free event includes activities throughout the day including cross-country skiing, a guided snowshoe tour, indoor rock climbing, crafts for kids, hot dogs and s’mores, and of course, photos with Big Blue.

“Last year’s first ever Swaner Snowcase was a great success; this year we are going to spend the day at the EcoCenter & Preserve and take advantage of all it has to offer,” said Sheldon Browning, member of the USU Alumni Relations team. “We are looking forward to spending the day with our friends in Park City and their families as this is truly a family friendly event.”

Those attending Swaner Snowcase event will receive free Aggie Swag(gie). Register to attend online https://www.usu.edu/alumni/snowcase/ and sign up for events throughout the day. A timeline of the day is also available. 

“We love to fill the EcoCenter with our beloved Aggies,” said Peregrine Bosler, development officer at Swaner EcoCenter.. “This is an excellent opportunity for us to show alumni, future Aggies and friends the Preserve and the work being done on it.”

Other Aggie Days for alumni to watch for include Baby Animal Days in partnership with USU Botanical Center in Davis County Saturday, May 6; Aggie Lagoon Day Friday, June 23; and the Alumni Golf Tournament Monday, August 28. USU’s Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter not only preserves and actively manages conservation efforts on 1,200 acres of open land, it also provides fun and educational community events, and engages over 2,200 kids in science-based, environmental learning through our youth programming. Our mission is to preserve the land and the human connection with the natural landscape, education the local and broader communities about the value of nature, and nurture both the ecosystem and the people connected with it.
