USU celebrates the Utah Science, Technology and Research Economic Development Initiative. The state legislature allocated $1.6 million to USU to begin recruitment of its first new research teams. The aim of the USTAR initiative is to help Utah keep pace in scientific research and technological advancements, while creating high-tech jobs and boosting the state’s economy.
