UPR Wants to see Your Artistic Side

This is the winning artwork used on the 2014 mug.

Utah Public Radio, a part of Utah State University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences, wants to see your mug. Or, more to the point, UPR wants to see your original artwork for its 2015 mug.

UPR is looking for entries for its 3rd Annual Art Mug Design Contest and anyone can submit an entry. According to UPR Development Director Bryan Earl, any art medium that can be printed/digitized on a mug is acceptable. And, according to Earl, UPR listeners will make the final choice for the mug design through online voting. The newly-minted 2015 mugs are sent to UPR station members throughout Utah and the West.

Earl said the designs should reflect UPR and the artist’s interpretation and appreciation of Utah Public Radio and its programs and the station’s home in Utah.

The deadline for entries is Monday morning, Jan. 26, by 10 a.m. Examples of past winning mugs and other contest information is available online.
