University Holiday Reduction in Work Time

The Utah State University holiday season will have a reduction in work time around the holiday break. With students away, the reduction makes good sense in terms of minimizing infrastructure costs such as heating and lighting.

The university will be closed Dec. 27 and 28 in addition to the previous closure for the holidays on Dec. 25, 26 and 29.

Deans and directors should assure that mission-essential staff remain during the days of Dec. 27 and 28.

“Utah State is a great place, and we continue to make significant strides,” said USU President Stan L. Albrecht. “Our success in research and academics, in teaching and learning and in recruitment and enrollment is a reflection of your commitment – a combined effort of faculty and staff – to an environment conducive to student success. I appreciate what is being done in all areas of the university. Together we will tackle with renewed energy, challenges that lie ahead in the new year.”
