Track & Field to Compete at the Clarence Robison Invitational

After a week of record-breaking performances, Utah State track and field takes their momentum down the road to Provo, Utah, for the BYU-hosted Clarence Robison Invitational.

After a week of record-breaking performances, Utah State track and field takes its momentum down the road to Provo, Utah, for the BYU-hosted Clarence Robison Invitational.

The three-day meet takes place Thursday through Saturday, April 21-23.

The invitational kicks off Thursday at noon with the men's and women's multi-events. Friday's action will begin at 10 a.m. with the conclusion of the multi-events, while field competition will start at noon with the men's shot put.

Saturday's field events get underway at 11 a.m. with the men's discus. The track competitions start at noon with the women's and men's 3,000m steeplechase.

The Aggies are coming off a historic weekend, setting two school records at the Mt. SAC Relays. Freshman Kashley Carter broke her own record in the 5,000m with a time of 16:23.29, which ranks fourth in the Mountain West and 55th in the nation.

Colby Wilson, a junior, eclipsed the 3,000m steeplechase record with a time of 8:40.73, ranking him second in the MW. Nationally, Wilson ranks sixth in the nation in the steeplechase.

Senior Maci Bingham also collected a school record last weekend at the USU-hosted Mark Faldmo Invitational. Bingham set the hammer throw mark with a toss of 62.33m (204-6), which ranks first in the MW and 13th in the nation.

The Mountain West Outdoor Championships will be held in Fresno, Calif., May. 11-14, just 11 days before the First Round of the NCAA Championships in Lawrence, Kan., May 26-28.
