Garden-ripe tomatoes are a welcome summer treat. A successful crop requires a sunny location and fertile, well-drained soil says Utah State University Extension specialist Dan Drost. Local garden centers and nurseries offer varieties well-suited for local conditions. If pests or diseases become a concern, contact your local Extension office for advice.
