This is a Test, This is Only a Test
Utah State University’s Emergency Management office will conduct a test of the USU CODE BLUE Emergency Alert System Wednesday, Feb. 18. The test begins at approximately 9:15 a.m.
All USU students, faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up for the emergency alerts that provide critical emergency information in a timely manner in the event of a major crisis on USU’s Logan campus.
It’s easy to sign up for the alerts.
- log into USU Access
- select “Personal Information”
- select “View/Update CODE BLUE Emergency Alert Phone Numbers”
- enter up to five (5) voice and text message numbers (1 text number only). Text and email are the quickest way to receive messages.
After sign-up, test notifications come from the telephone number (435) 797-7622. That number should be entered into phones at the time of signup. It should be labeled USU CODE BLUE Emergency Alert.
Those who receive the alerts are encouraged to share the test date and time with individuals whose telephone numbers were included during signup (parents, spouses, roommates, etc.).
Users can also sign up for additional notifications on the USU Emergency Management Facebook and Twitter pages.
For more information, contact Judy Crockett, (435) 797-0807.
