The Liquidator
USU engineering researchers are collaborating with the University of Texas to study how the ground will move in the Salt Lake area when the big quake hits. A machine called the Liquidator shakes things up on a small scale so scientists can see how different types of ground surfaces will react. The information will help designers see how strong to build in specific locations.
