'Teaching Naked' Author José Bowen to Present at ETE Events
José Bowen, author of "Teaching Naked" will be on the Utah State University campus Nov. 16 for several workshops. All faculty are invited.
José Bowen, president of Goucher College and author of Teaching Naked: How Moving Technology out of your College Classroom will Improve Student Learning, will present at Utah State University’s Empowering Teaching Excellence (ETE) events Wednesday, Nov. 16. All faculty are invited to attend and will learn unique, modern teaching techniques that break norms and are proven to help students perform at higher levels.
The event takes place in Merrill-Cazier Library, Room 154, and will be made available to all USU campuses via broadcast. From 2-3:15 p.m. there will be a workshop for faculty members to perform practical applications of the teaching naked cycle. Then from 3:30-4:45 p.m. President Bowen will explain in more depth the core principles outlined in his book, like how to utilize technology outside of the classroom and how to create more effective, engaging lessons for higher education.
