Sweet-Smelling Sweethearts
Ever wonder why June is traditionally the month for weddings? USU folklorists discovered that, in years past, people typically bathed once a year – usually in spring or early summer, with men going first, followed by the ladies. What better time to put your best foot forward than when you smelled your best? June became the olfactory-pleasing choice for nuptials.
