Study Participants Sought

Researchers in the Department of Psychology at Utah State University are about to embark on a study to help parents get their children to be more active, and study participants are being sought. The study involves tracking children’s behaviors. Additionally, for half the parents in the group, five weekly group meetings will be held.

“If you participate, you may receive free treatment, focused on helping your child become more active,” said study coordinator Julie Pelletier. “That could lead to your child having a healthier height/weight ratio.”

The study includes weekly drawings for $25 gift cards.

Pelletier hopes to begin the study in late September or early October, and 60 parent participants are sought. Parents must have a child between the ages of 6-12. Parents will be asked to track their child’s behavior. If interested, contact Pelletier at (435) 512-1113 or by email at jagiff@cc.usu.edu.
