Steam Outage for 10 Buildings Scheduled for Early Weekend

Ten campus buildings, including the Taggart Student Center and Old Main, will be without steam for 12 hours beginning midnight Dec. 9.  During this time, there will be no heat in the buildings.

 

Other buildings impacted include: the fieldhouse, military science, alumni house, Widstoe Masser, Eccles Science Learning Center, Ray B. West/family life, gun shed and public relations.

 

The shutdown is necessary to make a repair in the steam tunnel and also to allow contractors to tie in a new steam line. Steam should be fully restored by noon, Dec. 10.
