STD Concerns

Though Utah State's rate of sexually active students is much lower than the national average, USU’s Student Health and Wellness Center reports a rise in cases of certain sexually transmitted diseases. Of particular concern is the increased incidence of genital human papilloma viral infections, also known as HPV or genital warts. Even after treatment, the virus places women at higher risk of developing cervical cancer.
