Seeking Diversity Awardees
Nominations for the 13th Annual Diversity Awards at Utah State University are now being accepted by the Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity office until Friday, March 24, at 5 p.m.
The Diversity Awards honor students, faculty members, administrators, university staff and community members who further the principles and values of affirmative action, equal opportunity and diversity.
Award nominees should meet the following criteria: model behavior that promotes diversity; nourish acceptance of individual differences; strive to enhance academic, employment or community relations among people who are different; integrate diversity concepts and values into academic curriculum, management functions or community service; develop methods for increasing and valuing diversity among students, faculty, staff or local businesses/associations; maximize opportunities to achieve diversity.
Letters of nomination should be no more than two pages and should address the six criteria listed above. Award recipients will be announced this spring and will receive recognition by President Albrecht at an appropriate forum next fall.
