Schedule Update: Friday Opening Set for Carolyn & Kem Gardner Learning & Leadership Building

LOGAN, Utah — The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business will celebrate the grand opening of the Carolyn & Kem Gardner Learning & Leadership Building on Friday.

Out of respect for funeral services honoring Sergeant Lee Sorensen, a local law enforcement hero and USU alumnus who was killed in the line of duty, the start time for the open house has been delayed by two hours. Sgt. Sorensen’s funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

The open house for the Gardner Learning & Leadership Building will now begin at 2:15 p.m. Friday.

A funeral service for Officer Eric Estrada, another local hero and police officer, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Spectrum.

The 45,000-square-foot Carolyn & Kem Gardner Learning & Leadership Building represents a transformative addition to the Huntsman School of Business. Designed as a hub for experiential learning, the facility houses many of the school’s hands-on learning programs, providing dedicated space for internships, industry projects, co-working and professional development opportunities for students.
